Animals have always played a part in Jodie’s life since she was a child; from the age of 14 she worked as a volunteer in a rescue kennels and animal welfare and rescue has continues to be passion of hers.
She finally decided to take the plunge into veterinary nursing in 2014 by firstly completing the veterinary care assistant qualification (VCA) and then built on this by completing the veterinary nursing diploma and qualifying in 2017. In practice she has a keen interest in wound management and also enjoy scrubbing into assist in orthopaedic surgeries. She enjoys pet weight clinics particularly educating/helping clients to achieve their pets’ ideal weight.
At home she has an extremely loyal Akita called Roxy and is also a servant to the family cat Luna. Outside of work her hobbies are dancing, holidays and going on adventures with her son Marley.
