Kirsty Smith

Kirsty grew up in the local area and has worked in veterinary practice since 2004. She joined the Animates team in 2008 and since then qualified as a veterinary nurse, gained additional nursing qualifications herself and as a clinical coach supported more than 20 student veterinary nurses through to qualifying themselves.

After a 3 year period splitting her time between Animates and working as a veterinary nursing lecturer for the College of Animal Welfare she returned to Animates full time in 2019 to join the management team.

Kirsty is currently our Practice Director, leading the team and responsible for everything, from making sure our bills are paid to recruitment and even jumping in clinically if needed.

In her spare time she has an elderly pony to look after and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.
