More about Rebecca

Rebecca opened Animates Veterinary Clinic in June 2005 in Thurlby, and continued to develop and re-invest in the practice to ensure it has always been able to provide the best service and care to patients and clients.  She has grown it from a one-site practice with four staff to a two-site practice, with a separate exotic clinic with over 40 staff.  As well as working as a vet, she is our Business and Strategy Manager working with the team to ensure that Animates remains a successful and progressive practice.

Rebecca studied veterinary medicine at Massey University in New Zealand and qualified in the year 2000. After graduating she started working in mixed rural practice in New Zealand before deciding to concentrate her energies on companion animals when she moved to the UK in 2003. Rebecca has worked in a number of different practices in New Zealand, Ireland and England.

Rebecca enjoys all aspects of first opinion veterinary medicine, is an excellent surgeon and is particularly interested in pain management. She completed an Acupuncture course in 2014 and has also introduced Laser therapy to the practice. Rebecca is currently studying for a BSAVA Ophthalmology Certificate.

Rebecca enjoys a range of different activities including travelling, cycling, diving, music and squash.

Katherine Wynn-Owen

More about Katherine

Katherine qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2006 and has worked at mixed and small animal practices in the UK before joining Animates in November 2011. Katherine is our Clinical Excellence Manager ensuring clinical excellence and direction by creating a practice culture based on high quality patient care.

Katherine has a post graduate BSAVA certificate in emergency and critical care which she passed with distinction and is an RCVS recognised advanced practitioner in emergency and critical care. She also has an interest in ultrasonography and is currently working towards an Internal Medicine Certificate.

Katherine enjoys spending time with her husband and their cats Rinca and Flores, horse riding, playing netball and socialising with friends. She has a keen interest in conservation and during her time at university completed an intercalated degree in veterinary conservation medicine. She enjoys travelling and has previously volunteered as a vet at an Orang-utan reintroduction centre in Indonesia.

Tom Von Den Busch DVM MRCVS

More about Tom

Tom qualified from Ghent University in Belgium in 2002 and moved immediately to the UK. He has worked in small animal practice in Norfolk and Hertfordshire, as well as doing work in an out-of-hours emergency clinic for 6 months. He joined Animates in December 2012.

Tom is particularly interested in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, cardiology and ultrasound.

In his spare time his dog and the vegetable garden keep him busy, as well as clearing up the kitchen after spending hours cooking and baking.

Sarah qualified from Cambridge University in 2006 and has since been working in small animal and exotic first opinion and referral practice. She started at Animates in December 2012.

Sarah is a RCVS recognised specialist in Zoo and Wildlife medicine and has the RCVS Certificate, Advanced Veterinary Practice in Zoo Medicine and the RCVS Diploma in Zoo Medicine (Reptilian).

Her interest in exotic species started at an early age and prior to embarking on her veterinary degree Sarah gained a BSc (Honours) degree in Zoology. She has travelled and worked at various Zoos and Animal Parks in the UK, Australia and South Africa.

Sarah has been involved with RSPCA rabbit and reptile clinics. She is a member of the British Veterinary Zoological Society and is an advisor for the Invertebrate Health Working Group for British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria. She has a wide range of professional interests including exotic surgery and medicine.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys walking her two dogs and travelling.

Sanne Braat DVM MRCVS

More about Sanne

Sanne qualified from Ghent University in 2013. After graduation she volunteered in an animal shelter in Portugal to neuter cats and dogs. Before moving to the UK, she worked in a small animal practice in Belgium before joining Animates in January 2016.

At home she has a cat called Archie and two rabbits Cinnamon and Raisin who keep her busy. Sanne also enjoys socialising with friends and baking and often brings cakes in for her colleagues.

At work Sanne enjoys getting to know clients and their pets and always looks forward to the challenges a new day brings. She particularly enjoys the challenge of soft tissue surgery.

Anita Bajuka MRCVS

More about Anita

Anita qualified from Latvian University of Agriculture in 2015. During her studies she has spent time travelling around Europe gaining experience in small and exotic animal medicine. Before graduation a big part of her time was spent working for a Reptile zoo in Ireland. Anita joined Animates in 2016 where she started as a Small Animal Vet but now also makes up part of the exotics team.

Anita has a pet royal python and a crested gecko. In her spare time Anita loves travelling, photography and reading a good book.

Jessica Regosz DrMedVet MRCVS

More about Jessica

Jessica is originally from France and qualified from the St Istvan University in Budapest in 2007. When she qualified Jessica moved to the UK and has worked in practices in Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire before joining Animates in April 2017.

She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in surgery and dermatology.

When not at work, she enjoys travelling, swimming and the company of good friends.

Lucy Genziani BVetMed(Hons) MRCVS

More about Lucy

Lucy joined Animates Veterinary Clinic in July 2017 shortly after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College. Throughout her time at university Lucy enjoyed playing for the girls hockey team. She is originally from Surrey and regularly goes home to visit her black Labrador Murphy.

Outside work Lucy enjoys running, country walks and travelling. She has a special interest in Neurology but is excited to advance her knowledge in all areas of veterinary medicine. Lucy is looking forward to exploring the local area having only moved here just prior to starting with us.

Tana Borlace BVetMed(Hons) MRCVS

More about Tana

Tana graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2017. She has a passion for wildlife and conservation. After university she completed an internship at the Kruger National Park in South Africa working with everything from rhinos to African wild dog before joining Animates in September 2017. She has also previously spent 6 months on a game reserve in Zimbabwe working with elephants, leopards and lion.

Her main veterinary interests are exotic and wildlife medicine and neurology.

In her free time Tana enjoys netball, travelling around the world and looking after her menagerie of pets!

Julie Vandekerckove MVetMed MRCVS

More about Julie

Julie qualified from Ghent University in Belgium in February 2017. During her studies she joined an exchange program to work with wildlife in Malaysia. Before she moved to the UK and started at Animates in September 2017 she performed some locum work in small animal practices in Belgium. Her main interest is exotic animal medicine and she is fascinated by reptiles and amphibians.

In her spare time Julie enjoys spending time with her pet cornsnake, travelling and being in company of friends and family.

Kath O’Boyle BVSc CertVOphthal MRCVS

More about Kath

Kath graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2001 before working in a mixed animal practice in Shropshire for three years. It was here that the interest in surgery and eyes began, starting with her own diabetic dog that required cataract surgery. She then travelled to the USA to undertake a veterinary ophthalmology internship at Michigan State University.

Kath was awarded the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2009. She has worked at various small animal practices in the UK, as well as taking a career break to look after her four children while she was living in the USA. Kath has recently come back to work and has been with the team at Animates since May 2018.

She is currently working towards the RCVS advanced practitioner status in veterinary ophthalmology.

Laura Berenguer MRCVS

More about Laura

Laura qualified in Madrid’s Universidad Complutense in 2015. Before moving to the UK and joining the Animates team, she worked as the on-site veterinary surgeon in a wildlife rescue center in Costa Rica for nearly three years. There she gained experience with primates, toucans, parrots, sloths, anteaters and a large variety of other birds of prey and mammals.

Since a young age Laura has known that she wanted to dedicate herself to working with exotic pets and wildlife. She has also been a herpetology hobbyist for over a decade. What she enjoys most about the veterinary medicine profession besides being able to work with exotics is orthopaedic surgery, especially in birds and small mammals.

In her free time she enjoys travelling around the world, spending time with her best friends, doing herpetological expeditions to observe reptiles and amphibians in the wild, as well as keeping aquariums and terrariums at home.

More about Sara

Sara returned to a career in Veterinary nursing in 2004 after working for the Royal Mail for 11 years. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007. Sara worked in various practices in and around Peterborough before joining Animates in July 2007. Sara is our Day Manager, facilitating the smooth running of the practice by organising the day. She is also a clinical coach and helps train future nurses in the practice.

Sara is particularly interested in Emergency and Critical Care and in March 2017 completed a nursing certificate in this subject earning her the additional post-nominals CertVNECC.

Sara enjoys going for walks (particularly in the Lake District) with her mad Jack Russell Terrier, Dylis. She spends her time looking after her two cats, Enzo and Pentti and her parrot, Clyde. Her other interests include going to the theatre and watching rugby.  She is a big supporter of the Wales rugby team.

More about Kirsty

Kirsty grew up in the local area and started working in Veterinary practices in 2004.  She joined the Animates team in 2008 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010. Since then she has gained the RCVS Advanced Diploma in veterinary nursing, and a first class honours degree in clinical veterinary nursing.

Kirsty is our Client Experience Manager, ensuring every aspect of your experience with us is outstanding. Kirsty also has a keen interest in teaching, and she has previously worked as a veterinary nursing lecturer at the College of Animal Welfare. She is heavily involved in training the student nurses as a clinical coach.

In her spare time she has an elderly pony to care for and enjoys cycling, eating out and scaffolding!

Hannah Parrott RVN

Hannah qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1996. Since qualifying she has completed the Royal Canin Pet Health Councillor (PHC) and Advanced PHC courses and has a keen interest in pet nutrition and diets. Due to having a diabetic cat in the past, she is very interested in the care of diabetic patients and has completed the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) diabetes advisor course.

Hannah has worked as a veterinary nurse in various practices around the country, before starting at Animates in November 2012.  In 2000 she spent a year in Australia where she worked with a lot of exotic pets and wildlife. She still enjoys working with exotics at Animates.

Hannah lives with her two children, and their naughty cat Jeff. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and handbag shopping!

Annabelle Gharibi RVN

More about Annabelle

Annabelle joined Animates in September 2009 as a kennel assistant and started her Level 3 Nursing Diploma a year later. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in August 2013. Annabelle has a keen interest in weight management and has completed her Pet Health Counsellor (PHC) award. Annabelle also enjoys the nursing of exotic species.

Annabelle lives in Langtoft with her husband David and their daughter Imogen.  She enjoys walking her two dogs (Molly and Diesel) and spending time with her two cats (Yogi and Charlie).

Annabelle’s hobbies include walking the dogs, cooking, going to festivals, swimming, socialising with friends and scuba diving.

Suzanne Reynolds-Warnes CertFN RVN

More about Suzanne

Originally from Yorkshire, Suzanne started her nursing career in 1992 in Leeds. She re-located to London in 1996, where she gained her nursing qualification, and gradually progressed through to Head Nurse. Suzanne settled in the rural outskirts of Spalding in 2002 to be closer to family, but continued to commute to London to work. A change of circumstances allowed her to pursue a more leisurely pace of life away from London and Suzanne joined Animates in April 2013. She is now part of the night nursing team at the Thurlby clinic, and enjoys spending her day shifts split between the Market Deeping and Thurlby practices.

Suzanne has a special interest in all things cat, and in 2017 passed the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Certificate in Feline Nursing. She is also our “Cat Advocate” as part of the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Scheme.

Outside work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her partner and their brood of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. She also enjoys entertaining friends, going swimming, cycling and walking.

Katie Davey RVN

More about Katie

Katie gained her nursing qualification in September 2012 and joined Animates in May 2013 having previously worked at another practice in the area for five and a half years.

Katie has a keen interest in the nursing of exotic species in particular small mammals. She also enjoys looking after our dog and cat in-patients which she does as one of our night nursing team.

In her spare time Katie enjoys taking long walks with her two dogs Hugo (a springer spaniel) and Henry (a black Labrador). She has a menagerie of animals including cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and ducks which she spends a lot of time looking after. She also enjoys photography and spending time with her friends.

Anna Sworder RVN

Anna worked in a small animal hospital in Hertfordshire for 15 years, starting as a student nurse before gaining her nursing qualification in 2005 and progressing through to head nurse.

After relocating to Lincolnshire she joined Animates in November 2013. Anna loves all aspects of Veterinary nursing but particularly care of hospitalised in-patients. She also has a keen interest in the nursing of all exotic species.

In her spare time Anna enjoys walking her dog, a Bruno Jura Hound called Jean Baptiste. They also regularly attend agility training classes.  Being a hound Jean Baptiste particularly enjoys scent work!

Rochelle Hudnott RVN

After leaving school Rochelle completed a first diploma in Animal care before starting work at a veterinary practice in Middlesex in 2004. Here she completed her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification, passing with distinction. She then travelled up and down the UK working at several practices for 3 years, before settling down to start a family in Lincolnshire. Rochelle joined Animates in September 2011 where she completed her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing qualifying in 2014 and becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Since then she has completed her Pet Health Counsellor (PHC) award and enjoys advising owners on all aspects of their pets diets.

Rochelle enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but has a special interest in emergency care. She also enjoys spending time talking to clients about their pets in our nurse consultations. Rochelle lives in Bourne with her husband and two children. She has a guinea pig called Daisy and a cat called Dusty. In her spare time she enjoys going out with family and friends as well as swimming and travelling. She also loves a good party!

Amelia Hubbard BSc(Hons) RVN APVN-Avian

Amelia grew up in Stamford before leaving to do a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management at Harper Adams University in 2015. She then worked for Animates as a Registered Nurse for over a year, being one of our first Night Nurses.

In Feburary 2017 she moved to Hong Kong to work in an Emergency and Exotic Referral Hospital. She was over there for 20 months working as a hospital and surgical nurse.

In November 2018 she returned to work for us as a full time registered veterinary nurse working in both the Exotic and Small Animal departments. In June 2019 she completed her Advanced Programme in Avian Species and is currently working towards her Advanced Programme in Reptile and Amphibian, Small Mammal and Wildlife species.

Helle Pausgaard RVN

More about Helle

Helle is very interested in animal husbandry and has a qualification in this subject. Helle worked on farms in Denmark, New Zealand and England for nearly 10 years. She moved back to the UK in 2008 to be with her partner Adam who she met while backpacking in Australia.

Helle started working at Animates in October 2012 as a veterinary care assistant, and completed her veterinary nurse training with us.

Helle lives in Deeping St Nicholas with her twin daughters Sofie and Chloe who were born in 2016. This was the same year she qualified as an RVN!  Helle has two dogs, Mille (a Lab cross Pointer) and Gracie (a lurcher). In her spare time she likes to cook, go walking, and spend time with friends and family.

Natalie Mostowyj RVN

Natalie joined Animates in July 2017 having recently qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. Natalie grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK when she was 13.  She has had a passion for animals (particularly exotic mammals) ever since.

In addition to looking after our exotic patients, Natalie particularly enjoys providing care for the more critical of our in-patients and has a special interest in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

Natalie has been married to her husband Gary since 2013 and they have 2 rabbits and a cockapoo called Oakleigh who Natalie enjoys walking with in the local area.

Gwen Payne RVN

More about Gwen

Gwen has been passionate about animals from a very young age having grown up on a cattle farm on the outskirts of Londonderry in Northern Ireland. She chose her career path as a Veterinary Nurse and started volunteering in Veterinary practices from the age of 16. She graduated with an Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice management from Harper Adams University in 2008 and then went on to work at a small animal hospital in Cambridgeshire for 10 years, 5 of which were spent as a branch nurse.

Gwen joined Animates in 2018 having recently moved to the area. Gwen enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing particularly caring for the inpatients and emergency care.

Gwen lives in Folkingham with her husband, two children and three black labradors to keep her busy! Outside of work Gwen loves socialising with friends and spending time with family.

More about Laura

Laura is a qualified clinical animal behaviourist and registered dog trainer having graduated with an MSc from Lincoln University in 2013 and the APDT in 2015. She worked as a lecturer in Animal Care for four years before deciding to combine her passion for health and behaviour and train to become a Veterinary Nurse, starting at Animates in November 2016 and qualifying in January 2019. Laura runs our puppy parties, and is excited to be able to offer our clients in-practice behaviour services.

 In her spare time Laura enjoys walking, participating in scent work with her three dogs, and caring for her five ex-battery chickens.

Sam Thompson RVN

More about Sam

Prior to starting at Animates Sam was already enrolled with the College of Animal Welfare to train to become a Veterinary Nurse and had been working at another practice.  He moved to Animates in July 2017 and qualified in January 2019.

Outside of work one of his main hobbies is football; whether it’s playing every Saturday, or keeping up with the latest scores. He also enjoys listening to music and socialising with friends.

Sam has a cocker spaniel named Frank, who keeps him active.

Rebecca Featherstone BSc(Hons) RVN

More about Becky

Becky lives locally on her family farm in Clipsham, and has always had a passion for animals. Before working for Animates Becky spent time in South Africa where she was involved in wildlife conservation projects. After returning she completed a degree in science and environmental conservation before working as a zoo keeper in Yorkshire.  She then decided she wanted to become a veterinary nurse, and started at Animates to begin her training in January 2016.  She qualified and became registered in 2019.

In her spare time Becky enjoys riding her horse Chester and looking after her farm animals which includes Antonio the alpaca.

Alice Gibbons

More about Alice

From a young age Alice knew she wanted to work with animals and before starting at Animates she spent a year at college studying the level 3 extended diploma in animal management. She then decided that veterinary nursing was the career path that she wanted to follow and started working at Animates in March 2016. She completed a year as a Veterinary Care Assistant before enrolling on the veterinary nursing course.

In her spare time she used to take part in athletics and has competed at regional level in high jump and shot putt. She has been county champion in multiple events.

She has four rabbits; Lola, Arthur, Harry and Frankie.

Chelsey Surgenor BSc(Hons)

More about Chelsey

Originally from Northern Ireland, Chelsey joined Animates in September 2017 after travelling for 18 months.  In this time she visited 15 countries. She began her veterinary nurse training in January 2018.

Chelsey has an honours degree in zoo biology, and has a passion for wildlife.

After working in practices in Australia and the UK Chelsey is looking forward to settling down in Lincolnshire with her fiancé Matt. At home she has a Bengal cat called Zuma, a terrier cross called Django and a cocker spaniel called Kiwi. Outside of work Chelsey enjoys walking, nature photography, travelling and visiting family and friends.

Rachael Evans

More about Rachael

Rachael joined Animates in December 2016. She is originally from Shrewsbury but moved due to her husband being in the RAF Regiment. Before coming to Animates Rachael has worked at other Veterinary practices for 15 years. She plans to enrol at college in 2018 on a level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing course so she can achieve her goal of becoming a veterinary nurse.

In her spare time she likes running, riding her bike and spending time with her husband and 2 sons who are also keen bikers and runners. She has an elderly long-haired cat called Pete.

Robyn Rigby

More about Robyn

Robyn has completed an Animal Management level 3 extended diploma.  This led her to make the decision to start her veterinary nurse training which she began in April 2018, joining Animates not long after in October 2018.

Robyn has grown up around horses and spends most of her spare time with her Argentinian polo pony called Mia. She also has a working cocker spaniel called Pickle.

She also enjoys walking and her favourite place to go is the Lake District.

Katrina Hyde

More about Katrina

Originally from Oxfordshire, Katrina has completed her Diploma in Animal Management and Animal Care. She moved to Lincolnshire and started at Animates as a Veterinary Care Assistant in January 2018. She hopes to soon begin her Veterinary nurse training.

Katrina has spent 8 years working in animal rescue and rehabilitation, and has a keen interested in helping find rescue dogs their forever homes. She wants to become a veterinary nurse so she can further her knowledge and interest in animal rehabilitation. In her spare time she enjoys dog training, walking and socialising with friends.

Emilie Taylor

More about Emilie

Before joining Animates, Emilie previously completed a degree in Photography and has spent a couple of years travelling, working as a photographer, volunteering and living abroad. This year she decided to pursue a career change and follow her love for animals and has been with us since May 2019.

In her spare time, Emilie spends a lot of time with her dog, Diego and her two cats Kitty and Smudge. She also loves to travel, work on photography projects, write for her blog and keep active by doing Crossfit.

Emilie hopes to begin her Veterinary Nursing training soon and is really looking forward to it.

Fern Foy

More about Fern

Prior to working at Animates Fern worked as a hairdresser for 5 years. Fern has always had a passion for working with animals and currently volunteers at a dog rescue centre. After her own cat was hospitalised she saw how well the veterinary team works and realised she wanted to be a part of it. Fern lives with her partner and their cat, Boo. In her spare time she enjoys spending her time with her family and a spot of shopping.

Fern is hoping to undertake her veterinary nursing training soon.

Sharni Halford

More about Sharni

Sharni has recently moved back home after three years in Scotland where she worked as a wildlife rehabilitator and a Veterinary Care Assistant.  She was absolutely thrilled to be offered a position at Animates so she can pursue her dream care career in nursing.  She has a special interest in exotics, with a soft spot for rabbits in particular, having three cheeky bunnies  of her own at home. 

Outside of work, when she isn’t chasing after her bunnies, she enjoys reading BBC wildlife magazines, listening to and playing music, watersports and travelling.

Janice Hill 

More about Janice

Originally from Cambridgeshire, Janice has lived and worked locally for a number of years and joined Animates in April 2013.  She particularly enjoys the fact that after working here for several years she has got to know many of our clients and their pets well.

Janice is married to Martin and they live in Kirkby Underwood with their Patterdale Terrier, Boris. As a member of the Rotary Club of Bourne St Peter, Janice is actively involved in the community and participates in various projects in her village. In her spare time Janice enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and walking Boris in the local countryside.

Claire Murrell

More about Claire

Claire lives in Bourne with her partner and their two cats Calypso and Lulu. In November 2015 she started working at Animates part time on reception. Alongside this Claire also runs a small business designing and making bespoke jewellery.

In her spare time Claire enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with her pets and friends.

Lauren Sandall

Having grown up in the Deeping area Lauren now lives in Thurlby. Before joining Animates in June 2016, Lauren worked with animals in rescue centres for a number of years and has built up experience in care and handling. Lauren also trained in canine behaviour. As a lifelong animal lover Lauren is passionate about animal care. She enjoys working on reception because she likes greeting the animals and also getting to know clients.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys photography, and arts and craft.

​Lyn moved to Lincolnshire in 2017. Having spent 25 years working in finance Lyn decided to change her career and was excited to join the Animates Team in November 2017.

Lyn enjoys the fact that every day is different, and she likes the supportive environment and team spirit at Animates. She has also found it interesting meeting exotic species that she hadn’t come into contact with before working here.

Lyn is a lifelong animal lover and a keen amateur photographer, and particularly enjoys photographing animals, nature and wildlife.”

Barbara Spiller

More about Barbara

Barbara joined our team as a part-time Receptionist after a long career in marketing and PR in corporate organisations and her own consultancy business. She lives in Bourne with her partner, Phil and daughter Molly and is the owner of mini long-haired Dachshund, Hector and a cat Sabrina.

Barbara continues to enjoy writing for pleasure and professionally. Perhaps working for Animates will inspire a novel in the future! Her other interests include raising awareness of blood and organ donation, knitting for charity, walking (she is a member of a walking group in London) and pilates.

More about Emma

Emma grew up in Thurlby, and used to enjoy riding horses around the area. She now lives in Bourne with her fiancé and twin daughters, born July 2012. Emma previously worked as a customer service manager for a mailing company and she joined Animates March 2013.

Emma particularly enjoys the fact that her job gives her the opportunity to interact with many people.  Emma is our Support Manager organising the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the business.  In addition, she deals with general queries, looks after our Pet Care Plans, Accounts and Payroll and helps on reception. 

Most of her spare time is spent entertaining her children and enjoying family days out. She also enjoys gardening and D.I.Y. as well as a recently discovered interest in restoring furniture.

Deborah Croyle

More about Deborah

Deborah has over twenty years commercial experience in retail, logistics, leisure, catering and veterinary, specialising in start-ups and turnarounds, of which the veterinary business is her firm favourite. She has worked at Animates since April 2012. 

She particularly enjoys the variety of what she deals with on a day to day basis. Deborah is our People and Culture Manager championing the development and engagement of the team.

She and her husband moved from urban Hertfordshire to the Lincolnshire fens to improve their quality of life. She is now enjoying being able to indulge her hobbies including gardening, motorcycling, cooking, classic rock, keeping fit, and walking her own and other peoples’ dogs. She has several pets, all of which are rescue animals, including two miniature dachshunds (one of which was born blind), a cat, a rabbit, and a tortoise.

Michelle Evans 

More about Michelle

Michelle has lived in Langtoft for the past 7 years with her husband and two children. She has a German Shepherd called Sydney Golden Retriever called Harvey and three cats; Belle, Frankie and Roxie.

Before moving to Langtoft she lived in France for 6 years where she built and ran her own Cattery. She has also worked in the financial industry and the travel industry, but the cattery was definitely her favourite of her previous jobs. She joined Animates in January 2018, and enjoys the feeling of working in a close team.

Michelle helps with general queries, stock control, insurance and can also be found helping out on reception.

In her spare time she enjoys baking & decorating cakes, and family holidays.

Elizabeth Hughes

More about Elizabeth

Elizabeth was born and brought up in Deeping. She now lives in Bourne with her husband and their four cats (Tottie, Robinson, Crusoe and Holly). Elizabeth previously worked as a development coach for a large building society and she joined Animates in May 2018.

Elizabeth particularly enjoys how different each and every day is, including meeting Animates’ friendly and chatty clients and their beloved pets when on reception shifts.  In addition she deals with general queries and looks after finance and insurance.

In her spare time, Elizabeth loves to spend time with her 3 step daughters and her niece and nephew, as well as knitting premature and new born baby clothes and blankets.
