Corey has had an interest in all animals for as long as he can remember, ranging from domestic to exotic. He has a particularly keen interest in reptiles and invertebrates, having previously kept a Chinese Water Dragon and a variety of Praying Mantis. A few years ago he completed his advanced venomous reptile handling course, which was a big highlight for him. One of Corey's areas of fascination is in dog nutrition and behaviour, which he has spent plenty of time delving into research and getting involved in various courses.

Corey completed his level 3 animal management qualification in college, then spent 6 months working in a pet shop before finding himself in the animal charity sector, where he would spend the next 7 years. During his time in the charity sector he has been heavily involved in both the rehoming and relinquishment side of rescue, which has resulted in a strong confidence in positive training for dogs, customer service and admin-based tasks, plus species-appropriate accommodation. He has an enjoyment for fast-paced animal-based roles, so is enjoying his current position as receptionist.

In his spare time, Corey is a film writer/director who has had some success on the festival circuit and loves to play pool and snooker. He is also hoping to start scent-work and hoopers with his rescue Staffy, Quill, very soon.
