Animals have always played a part in Jodie’s life since she was a child; from the age of 14 she worked as a volunteer in a rescue kennels and animal welfare and rescue has continued to be a passion of hers. She finally decided to take the plunge into veterinary nursing in 2014 by firstly completing the veterinary care assistant diploma (VCA) and then built on this by completing the veterinary nursing diploma and qualifying as an RVN in 2017. In practice she has a keen interest in wound management and enjoys scrubbing in to assist in orthopaedic surgeries. She enjoys pet weight clinics in particular and educating/helping clients to achieve their pets’ ideal weight.

At home she lives with 3 adoptees: Connie, a Greek hound who is obsessed with hot water bottles and bananas! Charlie, an unplanned cockatiel who likes to be told how pretty he is and she is also servant to the family cat Luna. Outside of work she enjoys holidays, dancing and discovering new areas to walk.
