Gwen Payne

Gwen has been passionate about animals from a very young age, having grown up on a cattle farm on the outskirts of Londonderry in Northern Ireland. She chose her career path as a Veterinary Nurse and started volunteering in Veterinary practices from the age of 16. She graduated with an Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management from Harper Adams University in 2008 and then went on to work at a small animal hospital in Cambridgeshire for 10 years, 5 of which were spent as a branch nurse.

Gwen joined Animates in 2018 having recently moved to the area. Gwen enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing particularly caring for the inpatients and emergency care.

Gwen lives in Folkingham with her husband, two children and three black labradors to keep her busy! Outside of work Gwen loves socialising with friends and spending time with family.
